How To Make Fried Rice



Introduction:

Ingredients:
- 2 cups of cooked rice (preferably leftover rice)
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 cup of mixed vegetables (peas, corn, bell peppers, etc.)
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Spring onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.

2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté them for about 2-3 minutes until they become fragrant and slightly translucent.

3. Add the diced carrot and mixed vegetables to the skillet. Stir-fry the vegetables for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.

4. Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet, creating an empty space. Pour the beaten eggs into the empty space and scramble them until they are fully cooked.

5. Once the eggs are cooked, mix them together with the vegetables in the skillet.

6. Add the cooked rice to the skillet. Break up any clumps of rice with a spatula and mix it well with the vegetables and eggs.

7. Pour the soy sauce and oyster sauce (if using) over the rice. Stir-fry everything together for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring that the sauces are evenly distributed.

8. Season the fried rice with salt and pepper to taste. Adjust the seasoning according to your preference.

9. Remove the skillet from the heat. Garnish the fried rice with chopped spring onions.

10. Serve the delicious fried rice hot as a main course or as a side dish with your favorite Asian dishes.
